The current study investigated the Japan cartoon and travel motivation. A qualitative approach was adopted and interviews were used for data collection. The result revealed that people think cartoon character themselves, the story of cartoon animation, the peripheral products about cartoon characters, the childhood memory, personal preference and promotion of media can induce tourist desire to travel. Furthermore, the study revealed that the list of motives for traveling are that for gain the experience, entertain as well as interact with cartoon characters, see the real scene and resonate with anime plot. The study probed into understanding products related to Japan cartoon and purchase behaviour. The findings manifest that tourists’ purchase behaviour was positively affected by tourists’ feeling and memory in Japan cartoon and the environment as well as atmosphere of the stores. In a word, Japan cartoon can attract tourists’ motivation and purchase behaviours.
