The Macau Youth Challenge was established in 1989 to organize the introduction of inpatient gospel drug treatment services from Portugal to help people in need to get rid of addiction. Macau's gambling rights were opened up and Macau became a society of the Great Leap Forward. Great changes have taken place in government policies, laws, and people's livelihood! But this change opposes the operation of gospel drug rehabilitation and has played a catalytic role in fueling the flames. This research is based on literature review and preliminary understanding of the organization to set up interview questions, to understand the current development status of the organization, the organization’s difficulties in the new era, and how the organization faces the development of the new era.
The study adopts a case study method, taking senior workers who have been engaged in the operation of the organization as the research object, collecting data through in-depth interviews, and then coding and analyzing the data, finally reaching the explanatory conclusions of this research.
This study found that the Gospel Drug Rehabilitation in Macau, affected by the organization's internal mission, government policies, and the transformation of service targets, has entered a bottleneck in development. If it remains complacent, it may enter a decline and decline. Finally, this research makes corresponding suggestions for the problems existing in the organization to resolve the internal and external influence problems faced by the organization. It is hoped that this suggestion can become the organization's contingency strategy and survive in the cracks.
