With the emergence of its commercial value, platforms and creators have successively looked for a sustainable and stable commercial monetization path on Douyin, and in recent years, the research on short video commercial profitability has been effective, but the research on the commercial monetization model for a specific short video platform is relatively lacking, and it is necessary to analyze the problems according to the platform's own characteristics, audience, positioning, and environment while combining its own situation to explore a monetization path different from other platforms.
At present, the commercial monetization of Douyin APP is supported by internal conditions and external conditions. Internal conditions include eye-catching content, as well as a distinctive and differentiated design and the platform's own unique algorithms. External conditions include unique audiences and customized services as well as economic background. The combination of internal and external creates a short video platform with high commercial value. At present, the commercial monetization model of Douyin APP is divided into five categories, namely advertising model, interactive marketing model, KOL effect model, IP operation model and commercial monetization model including other methods.
Of course, at present, there are also many difficulties on the road of commercial monetization of Douyin APP: short video content is too similar, advertising is frequent, the platform is seriously centralized, and copyright is not valued. In order to have a healthy development, it is also necessary to encourage creators to create original works, and to unify the concept that content is king. Arrange the frequency reasonably on advertising push, and more accurately do the conversion and retention of users.
