As a public health emergency, the new crown pneumonia epidemic has brought serious adverse effects on people's physical and mental health. To this day, the new crown pneumonia epidemic has not completely passed, and it has become a normalization to coexist with people. In the process of normalizing epidemic prevention, as a direct contact to serve the people, grassroots government employees are facing increasing work pressure. Therefore, it is of great significance to study the social support and the work pressure of grassroots government personnel under the normalization of epidemic prevention.
This paper divides the sources of stress of grassroots government employees into hindering work stress and challenging work stress, and social support is also divided into objective support and subjective support. Based on the theory of social support, the study used the Covid Stress Self-Test Scale, C-HSS Work Stress Scale and Social Support Scale to conduct a questionnaire survey of 230 grassroots government workers in X City, Henan Province to explore the relationship between stressors, work pressure and social support. This study is verified by regression analysis, and the results are as follows:
(1) Under the normalization of epidemic prevention, there is greater pressure on grassroots government employees;
(2) the work pressure and social support of grassroots government personnel are related to demographic variables;
(3) The pressure source is positively correlated with the working pressure;
(4) Social support as a regulating variable can alleviate the work pressure of government grassroots employees.
Finally, from the three aspects of society, organization and individual, this paper puts forward targeted methods to alleviate the pressure of grassroots employees of X municipal government and countermeasures and suggestions to improve social support.
