With the popularization of Internet and smart phone applications, various service industries have entered the daily life of the public in the form of online APP; Under the background of the epidemic era, various offline entities have been impacted to varying degrees. The catering industry, as a traditional service industry, has been significantly affected. Most catering stores have started to provide online services through the Internet to reduce losses; At the same time, government policies, funding, and technological support have also led to the gradual rise of the food delivery industry as one of the main forms of dining for consumers, providing more dividends for the online economy. The rise of food delivery apps not only facilitates consumers to quickly choose their products, but also facilitates the improvement of merchant services and increases enterprise profits. However, the development of food delivery apps has also brought about problems such as poor user experience, uneven product quality, and a lack of design inspection for minority groups.
This article takes the problems arising from the design of food delivery apps as the research direction, taking Meituan APP as an example, and explores the current problems in app design from the user's perspective. Using literature review method to collect and organize relevant literature and web book data from the past, and drawing on reasonable evaluation indicators; Establish a primary indicator for the impact dimension of Meituan APP usage based on the principle of usability evaluation indicators; We mainly adopt the methods of user interviews and questionnaire surveys to integrate subjective evaluation data of APP users, and use Nvivo qualitative analysis software to analyze user interview texts, in order to refine the usability evaluation indicators of Meituan APP; In addition, statistical analysis software SPSS was used to analyze the collected data, and principal component analysis was used to calculate and analyze the correlation of evaluation indicators affecting the design of external sales apps. The strength of the correlation of evaluation indicators was ranked to obtain experimental results; Based on the experimental results of principal component analysis, corresponding optimization design strategies were proposed for the design of Meituan APP, as well as the optimization design and verification of the prototype UI interaction interface of the APP. Whether the optimization strategies have improved the current problems of Meituan APP were verified.
