This study, entitled " The Relationship Between Cultural Intelligence and Work Performance of Mainland Catering Employees in Macao: The Mediating Effect of Cross-cultural Adaptation and the Moderating Effect of Social Support", aims to investigate how the cultural intelligence of Mainland food and beverage workers in Macao affects their job performance, and to further analyze the moderating role of social support and the mediating role of cross-cultural adaptation in the process of cultural governance and job performance. It further analyzes the mediating role of social support in this process and the mediating role of cross-cultural adaptation between cultural governance and job performance. In the context of globalization, the cultural intelligence of practitioners in the catering industry, as an important platform for cultural exchange and integration, is particularly important. As an important window of cultural exchange between the Mainland and overseas, the level of cultural intelligence of Mainland practitioners in the food and beverage industry in Macao is directly related to their work performance and the overall operational effectiveness of the enterprises. Therefore, this study has important practical significance and theoretical value.Through systematic literature review and field research, this study defines the core concepts of cultural intelligence, job performance, social support, and cross-cultural adaptation, and constructs a corresponding theoretical model. On this basis, this study collected 400 pieces of primary data through a questionnaire survey, and through statistical analysis, the impact of cultural intelligence on job performance was examined in depth. The results of this study show that cultural intelligence has a significant positive effect on the job performance of restaurant workers in Macau. Meanwhile, social support plays an important role in mediating the relationship between cultural intelligence and job performance, and cross-cultural adaptation plays a mediating role between cultural governance and job performance. These findings not only provide a strong theoretical basis for human resource management and training in food and beverage enterprises, but also provide important references for the government and related departments to formulate relevant policies.
