As tourists become more experienced travelers, there are increasingly more travel-related apps, it is difficult for traditional travel information collection methods to meet the personalized needs of tourists. In order to meet the individualized needs and in-depth tourism information needs of tourists, enhance the tourists' usage experience, and increase the value-added of Macao tourism, the design optimization of specific categories of tourism apps is carried out.
This study selected 16 interviewee who had traveled to Macau in recent one year and were able to use travel apps independently through intentional sampling method, through semi-structured interviews to in-depth understanding of tourists' needs at different stages of tourism. Use vocal thinking record the language and click path used by the interviewees during the use process. The user experience, usability and ease of use of the app are scored by SUS user experience scale, and the scoring data are matched sample T-test.
Based on the elements of user experience theory, the factors affecting the user experience of "Experience Macau" are obtained, and the product goals, product functions, and product interactions are optimized for design. The user experience, usability, and ease of use of the interface before and after optimization are significantly different. Through user interface testing before and after optimization, the application learnability and usability have been improved, solving the problems of travel users in using such programs and promoting the update of travel applications.
