As tourists visit destinations, souvenirs have become one of the essential buys. Tourists are attracted by the diversity of souvenirs in the landscape. The design of the diverse forms of souvenirs; not only show the culture of the travel destination but also attract tourists to purchase. This study, based on the self-determination theory, explores how the significance of souvenirs can stimulate tourists' well-being and behavioral intentions. This study adopted the questionnaire survey method and screened out 301 valid questionnaires. The data from the questionnaire was analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS- SEM). This study shows that the aesthetics and cultural symbolism of souvenirs positively influence tourists' perceptions of the meaningfulness of souvenirs. Meaningfulness has a positive impact on tourists' well-being and behavioral intentions. Well-being has a positive impact on behavior intention. This research provides a more comprehensive perspective for souvenir design, promotes the sustainable development of souvenirs in scenic spots, and enhances tourists' willingness to purchase. This study suggests that scenic spots pay more attention to tourists' reactions when selling souvenirs to help them further design meaningful souvenirs, attract more tourists and enhance tourists' behavior intention.
